Andrew Dominik's "Chopper" is film at its best. Mixing styles, Dominik has proven himself to be a director to keep an eye on. His assurance at the helm is only amplified by the incredible performance given by Eric Bana. Bana plays Mark "Chopper" Read, a real-life Australian career criminal who became a legendary anti-hero. This movie will knock you out of your chair with its bleak humor, brilliant performances, and breathtaking violence. Also of note is the commentary track by the real life "Chopper" who felt he would kill Dominik if the movie didn't meet up to his standards. Not to be missed. A
